Accommodation

Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary offers three accommodation types: motel rooms, self-contained cottages, and powered sites for caravans. Certain rooms include a seating area and a private bathroom with a flat-screen TV. The property also has a shared kitchen and a shared lounge for guests.

Dining

The on-site Native Pine Restaurant serves gourmet meals in a fully licensed setting. Guests can have a drink at the Pick & Shovel Bar before dinner. Breakfast is included with some room rates, and the bar stocks a variety of gin brands.

Activities

Guided 4WD tours include the Ridge Top Tour, which takes visitors through ancient granites over 1.6 billion years old. Two astronomical observatories allow stargazing under some of the darkest skies in Australia. Scenic flights are available over the Flinders Ranges and to Lake Eyre.

Wildlife & Nature

The sanctuary is home to the rare Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby, viewable during nightly feedings. Bushwalking trails and self-drive 4WD routes cross the property's 610 sq km of geological landscapes. The property also has an outdoor swimming pool and a large garden with BBQ facilities.

Arkaroola sits in the Northern Flinders Ranges, close to Flinders Ranges National Park and Paralana Hot Springs.
