Rooms & Suites

The resort has 46 suites set amidst lush rainforest on Green Island. Each suite comes with a private balcony offering rainforest or pool views. All are air-conditioned and include a separate bath and shower in the bathroom.

Dining

Emeralds Restaurant serves award-winning tropical cuisine on an outdoor terrace or in the air-conditioned dining room. The Canopy Grill provides casual outdoor dining during the day. Guests can also order wine or champagne and find a coffee house on site.

Activities & Experiences

Complimentary snorkel gear and a glass bottom boat tour are included for resort guests. A sunset drink is offered each evening, and the dive shop organises snorkelling, diving, canoeing, and walking tours. Guests also have access to Marineland Melanesia and guided eco-tours led by marine biologists.

Eco & Location

Green Island Resort holds an Advanced Ecotourism Certification and is located inside the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The island is a 45-minute boat ride from Cairns, with return transfers included in the stay. After the day visitors leave each afternoon, resort guests have the island and its beaches to themselves.

The resort has two swimming pools: a salt-water pool with a pool bar and a second outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers.
